City of Denham Springs
Rene Delahoussaye began city council service in 2007. Elected to serve again in 2015, he is a fiscally conservative Independent. Delahoussaye serves as chairman of the Denham Springs City Council Financial Commission. He also is Secretary/Treasurer of the Springs at Riverside Landing Development District.
Previously as a city councilman, he served on the Economic Development District Board to bring Bass Pro Shops, worked on the restoration of Old City Hall, helped to establish the Denham Springs Historic District and Commission, worked with the property owner to attract Albertsons to our city, and served as first chairman of the Denham Springs Sewerage District #1.
Delahoussaye, a retired physical therapist, is president of Save A Back, LLC, a national injury prevention education company. He is an active participant with Denham Springs Green. He is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He and his wife, Tonda, have 3 married daughters and seven grandchildren. He enjoys golf, running and yoga.
